Cafco is a Boston-based construction management firm specializing in restaurant, hotel, residential and academic projects. Our passion is to help clients transform their ideas into reality. Our collaborative approach engages clients early in the process and carefully guides their vision from concept to execution.

From site selection and pre-construction services to construction management and project closeout, we work with our clients through every step of their project. Our unique expertise provides our clients with the power to make informed decisions and allocate their budget on the aspects of their project they value most.

Adam Amontea


For the past 18 years, Adam has established strong relationships with critical permitting authorities, licensing and zoning agencies, subcontractors and labor agencies in and around the Boston area. He has worked as a Carpenter, Superintendent, Project Manager and Chief Operation Officer of Cafco, before assuming his current role as President, where he is responsible for the strategic direction and business development of Cafco. Adam’s management style is hands on. He is closely involved in every project, guiding our teams to always exceed our clients’ expectations. He has a degree in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology and serves on several local agencies that meld the hospitality community with serving those in need.

Joe Burkett

Chief Financial Officer

Joe has more than 30 years of experience in construction financial management. He has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Babson College and has been an active member of the Massachusetts Chapter of Construction Financial Management Association since 1991. Joe’s knowledge and expertise of the industry is an immeasurable asset to Cafco, and he plays a critical role as our CFO. He is responsible for the firm’s Accounting and Finance functions and oversees Human Resources and Information Technology. In 2006, Joe was the recipient of the prestigious Joe Quigley Award for his multiple years of service and contributions to CFMA.

Matthew Tripp

Vice President

Matt oversees the operations of our project management and field teams. He ensures that projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and of the highest level of quality, resulting in a great client experience. With 20 years of experience, Matt has held positions as Superintendent, Construction Manager and Director of Hospitality for a national construction management firm. He has a degree in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology, holds CSL licenses in multiple states, and is OSHA 30-Hour Certified.
